
New Horror Titles Pull the Switcheroo for August 2016
CHICAGO, September 7, 2016—The top three bestselling Grey Matter Press volumes for the month of August repeat from July with a slight shift in order.
While we cannot speak his name, for the month of August horror and thriller fans surely are as MISTER WHITE by John C. Foster takes the top spot for the first time since its April release. Sales recorded from all channels rocketed the novelized version of this supernatural thriller into the company’s lead position for the month.
In second place for August was the star-studded anthology of horror PEEL BACK THE SKIN. Continued steady sales also kept the title among Amazon’s Top 100 Horror Anthologies for the third month since its June 6 release. The much-lauded volume of horror features a collection of stories from acclaimed genre fiction authors Jonathan Maberry, Tim Lebbon, Ray Garton, Graham Masterton, Yvonne Navarro, Nancy Collins and more.
Repeating for the fourth month in row at the top of the Grey Matter Presss bestseller lists, this time in third place, is DREAD: A HEAD FULL OF BAD DREAMS the first reader-selected volume of short horror fiction published by the press on May 28. Continued strong sales also kept the title firmly within Amazon’s Top 100 Horror Anthologies.
Also easing its way into the top three during the first week in release was the company’s latest volume I CAN TASTE THE BLOOD that includes five disturbing nightmares from visionary authors Josh Malerman, John F.D. Taff, Erik T. Johnson, J. Daniel Stone and Joe Schwartz. The book led the charts during weeks 35 and 36.
