New Horror Titles Top Grey Matter Press Bestsellers for July
CHICAGO, August 5, 2016—The top three Grey Matter Press bestselling volumes for the month of July represent new titles released since April and include two anthologies that have remained on the Amazon Top 100 Bestselling Horror Anthologies list for more than eight weeks since their release.
Sales from all channels kept the company’s star-studded anthology of horror PEEL BACK THE SKIN in the top spot for the month. Brisk sales also kept the horror title in the Top 20 of Amazon’s Horror Anthologies charts during the month and among the online mega-retailer’s Top 100 Horror Anthologies for the almost 60 days since its June 6 publication date. The project whose working title was “MONSTERS,” features an acclaimed collection of stories from some of the best names in genre fiction, including Jonathan Maberry, Tim Lebbon, Ray Garton, Graham Masterton, Yvonne Navarro, Nancy Collins and more. For July, the volume once again eclipsed the company’s other titles for its second month in worldwide release.
Repeating for the third month in second place was DREAD: A HEAD FULL OF BAD DREAMS the first reader-selected volume of short horror fiction published by the press on May 28. Continued strong sales of the digital and trade paperback versions kept the title in close contention for the top slot among the company’s best selling titles and firmly within Amazon’s Top 100 Horror Anthologies.
Appearing once again in the company’s Top 3 is the novel whose antagonist has captured the attention of readers worldwide even though they have been encouraged to “not speak his name” (at least not out loud). MISTER WHITE: A Dark Thriller by acclaimed author John C. Foster has been burning up the charts to beat out the company’s long-time top sellers to claim third place for the month.
